    Senior Manager Market Development

    M-KOPA is seeking a dynamic individual to take a key position within the Kenya Management Team. The Market Development Manager will be responsible for key strategic, business development, analytical and cross-department projects that support the expansion of M-KOPA’s connected asset financing platform. He/she should excel at solving strategic business problems, leading business improvements, and supporting field operations. The role requires strong analytical skills and a track record of driving impact

    Responsibilities

    • Assist M-KOPA Kenya management team in identifying, analyzing, and executing on the company’s highest commercial priorities.
    • Lead the testing, piloting, and operational setup for product launches, including coordinating preparations across different business functions.
    • Support new channel development, including overseeing all end-to-end integrations, training, and service delivery required for launch.
    • Lead business intelligence and data reporting for Pilots and key Development initiatives.
    • Coordinate with M-KOPA’s group business intelligence and market development teams to drive improvements across the business.
    • Lead research and rapid analyses on M-KOPA’s products, customers, and operations, and upskill staff on how to use these methods to generate business insights and inform critical decision-making.
    • Drive strategic, operational, and cross-functional initiatives that result in improved customer acquisition, retention, and credit performance.

    EXPERIENCE

    • At least 2 years of experience in consulting, finance, or operational roles, ideally with multi-market experience. Extra benefit if candidates worked in a related direct sales or fintech business

    SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Preference for candidates with advanced analytical and statistical, skills, including R, Python, SQL, Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau).
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across geographies, cultures, functions and seniorities. Experience and a high capacity in managing multiple projects and people simultaneously while delivering high quality outputs.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage own time with changing priorities in an agile environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to go the extra mile to assist other team members.

    Fraud Intern

    JOB PURPOSE 

    Ensure accurate processing of all fraud raised issues and proper documentation of all fraud leads. In a timely manner to meet SLA 

    KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Respond to all fraud inquiries and leads provided within stipulated timelines 
    • Monitor and Man, the fraud escalation queue on Freshdesk ensure SLA adherence 
    • Conduct due diligence, process all fraud tickets from Freshdesk with complete accuracy 
    • Document and track all fraud tickets on fraud SharePoint list correct data and maintain a high standard of data quality, controls, and comprehensiveness regarding all recorded data 
    • Conduct recorded investigations over the phone by interrogating suspects and the claimant to determine the legitimacy of the fraud allegations 
    • Send daily report on daily ticket resolution and audit 
    • KYC audits for all escalated customers on M-KOPA sales app Onfido

    EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Certification in a fraud related discipline, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). 
    • Knowledgeable in identifying indicators of fraud through data mining and analytical exercises. 
    • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage business expectations with key stakeholders  
    • A positive, learning-oriented attitude and capacity for self-empowerment  
    • Two years’ work experience in a professional role 
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and understanding of statistics and quantitative methods

    Senior Application Security Engineer

    Role Objective

    Test M-KOPA devices, and infrastructure, for security flaws by conducting hardware hacking and red teaming exercises. Particularly against mobile phones and Azure cloud infrastructure.

    In this role, you will be expected to:

    • Lead vulnerability testing of M-KOPA mobile, IoT and automotive devices
    • Conduct in-depth hardware penetration testing / research, particularly against Android mobile and embedded systems
    • Identify and discover of zero-day vulnerabilities in Android applications, the underlying kernels, and hardware boards
    • Lead internal penetration testing and red teaming engagements against Azure cloud applications and Windows environments

    You Might Be A Good Fit If You

    • Have experience penetration testing Android applications, mobile phones and IoT devices
    • Love leading hardware hacking teams and performing low level vulnerability research
    • Regularly develop your own tools, e.g., fuzzers and decompilers, written in Java, C or Python
    • Want to develop an internal penetration testing team, a robust red team simulation capability, and cutting-edge vulnerability research lab
