    Customer Service - Reliever (Hospital )

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
    • Attained a C+ or higher in your KCSE.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Customer Service experience:  At least 1 Year would be an added advantage preferably in a busy environment.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities.

    Barista - Upperhill

    About the Client:

    Our client in the hospitality industry, is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and proactive candidate to join their team as a Barista to engage clients in service delivery with a focus on ultimate customer service and timely fashion.

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities.

    • Promote special dishes, beverages, or desserts to guests and upsell other products/services, including cocktails and beverages.
    • Prepare and serve cocktails/Coffee with precision and creativity.
    • Preparing grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, preparing items for waiters to serve customers.
    • Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. Preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios).
    • Demonstrate a good understanding of the menu and make recommendations.
    • Develop a range of creative cocktails and demonstrate barista skills to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
    • Packaging food and beverages for sale.
    • Cleaning and restocking work areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
    • Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
    • Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, or behind the counter.
    • Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls, company rules and regulations.
    • Present bills accurately, process payments, and receipts.
    • Ensure the Crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
    • Taking accurate food and drink orders correctly and communicating the order details to the kitchen staff.
    • Control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock taking as required.
    • Maintain stock of clean cutlery and crockery e.g mugs and plates.
    • Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
    • Comply with health and safety regulations.
    • Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
    • Ensuring that the (HACCP) is adhered to on a daily basis by all members of staff.
    • Welcome all customer and present beverage and food menu.
    • Make suggestions and answer any inquiries.

    • Operate coffee making equipment.
    • Prepare and present beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards.

    Key Qualifications

    • Certificate/Diploma in Food and Beverage/Hospitality or Related field.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in a busy restaurant.
    • Must have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
    • Must be able to make cocktails/Coffee.
    • Certificate for a barista course.
    • Coffee brewing knowledge.
    • Good knowledge and experience in Cocktail making.

    Chef - Upperhill

    About the Client:

    Our client is a 24hours Restaurant located in Upperhill and is looking for a highly skilled, passionate, creative and experienced in diverse cuisine individual to join the team as a Chef.

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure preparation of food products are done effectively and correctly as per the laid down procedures
    • Consult and check on daily requirements, functions and last minute events
    • Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen
    • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
    • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
    • Ensure all foods and produce received are well labelled, Date stamped and stored correctly
    • Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
    • Ensure the standard recipes for all dishes are followed correctly and maintain uniformity of taste, Quality and portion control
    • Ensure food preparation procedures are followed with critical check on costs and wastage
    • Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
    • Ensure all relevant documentations are maintained and report the same to immediate supervisor
    • Ensure all stock levels are maintained and correctly documented
    • Ensure to attend to any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
    • Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in set up and supervising of buffets and special functions
    • Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control
    • Guide and train the subordinates on a daily basis to ensure high motivation and economical working environment
    • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

    Key Qualifications

    • Diploma or higher national diploma in food production
    • A minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant work experience
    • Knowledge in HACCP
