    Data Use Coordinator

    Position Summary

    S/he will be responsible for supporting the M&E output area by developing, implementing, and monitoring the data use strategy. S/he will support the implementation and monitoring the Data Demand and Use (DDU) strategy and guiding the DDU assessments and interventions. S/he will ensure DDU support of County Health Management Teams (CHMTs) and M&E Technical Working Groups (TWGs), and strengthen/develop mechanisms for county accountability.

    The Data Use Coordinator will report to Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor.

    Responsibilities

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Lead in the development of monthly and quarterly plans for Routine Data Quality Audits (RDQAs) and other data quality initiatives.
    • Work with the Capacity Building Advisor to oversee/conduct training on DDU, EMR, MoH tools, analytics, computer basics and M&E.
    • Track EMR data quality issues from the facilities and partners, plan and provide relevant responses/solutions.
    • Increase capacity of the facility staff, CHMTs for the identification of data needs and the collection, analysis and communication of appropriate information.
    • Assist facilities to maintain and use quality EMR data.
    • Assist in writing project reports (e.g. CDC quarterly reports, TWG reports and for any other agencies).
    • Assist M&E Advisor in conjunction with the team in developing abstracts on the project activities.

    Requirements

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

    • Software skills necessary to conduct data analysis, such as STATA, SPSS, Tableau or their equivalent.
    • Knowledge and experience of data informed decision making.
    • Ability to communicate technical data to non-technical audiences.
    • Excellent writing and communication skills.
    • Excellent inter-personal skill.
    • Ability to work in a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with the use of databases.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Bachelors? degree in information systems, computer science, public health, or related field. A masters? degree will be an added advantage
    • At least 3 years? experience in EMR implementation with special emphasis on support of MoH standard reporting tools.
    • Demonstrable experience working with the various Kenyan health information systems (e.g. DHIS2, CPIMS, EMRs, COPBAR, etc.)
    • Demonstrated experience in working on donor-funded projects, especially for the US government.

    Quality Assurance Specialist

    Position Summary

    The Quality Assurance Specialist will be a dedicated resource responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable standards and guidelines requirements. S/he will work closely with the business analyst and software engineers. The incumbent will serve not only as a Quality Assurance Specialist but also as a key technology team member who will fit into various roles to deliver significant value to clients and end users.

    • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
    • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
    • Hands-on experience in white box, black box testing and automated testing tools.
    • Experience in performance and security testing.
    • Working experience in either ASP.NET or Java.
    • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
    • Ability to recommend design improvements or corrections to software engineers throughout the development process.

    Finance Officer Senior Level

    Position summary

    The incumbent will provide the Finance Manager with financial and administrative support including: processing and tracking all expenditure, enforcing compliance, inputting and processing of payments, maintaining books and records, and reporting. These responsibilities will require a person with knowledge and experience with USAID procurement rules and regulations.

    The Finance Officer will report to Operations Manager.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review and submit for approval by supervisor all travel documents ( Travel Authorization, Travel Advance Request & Travel Expense Report) and other expense reports
    • Prepare payment vouchers for all approved expenditures
    • Prepare for review the bi ? monthly Financial Report including bank reconciliations and stipulated calendar date.
    • Supervise petty cash expenditure, accounting and management.
    • Maintain a fixed asset register for all assets
    • Maintain financial files and personnel files to ensure ease of access, reliability, accuracy of information and security.
    • Maintain records of staff medical allowances, vacation and sick leave
    • Prepare statutory returns, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, Pension and HELB and ensure timely remittance
    • Cash flow management; preparation of cash forecast
    • Systematically issue Purchase Orders based on approved procurement packet
    • Prepare and maintain the staff advance aging list and report on the same during operations meeting fortnightly
    • Other administrative and financial tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor?s degree in finance, commerce or related discipline required
    • 3- 4 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably with USAID-funded project.
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel;
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Well-developed and effective organizational skills, including to ability to multi-task, and work in a high-pressured environment.
    • Sound understanding / experience in administration and logistics management
    • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, colleagues and clients
    • Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment
    • Confidentiality and team spirit
    • Fluency in English and Swahili required.

    EHR/EMR Product Manager Senior

    Position Summary

    The role will be responsible for the management of the EHR/EMR technology team deliverables and ensuring that performance requirements are met. This position is a blend of hands-on project manager, systems analyst, software developer, and leader requiring applied skills in systems thinking, systems analysis and architecture, leadership, and project management.

    • Prepares project status reports for senior management and proactively manages risks, mitigation strategies, threats, and opportunities.
    • Implements organization standards and best practices in project execution, and ensures products are clearly documented and communicated to stakeholders.
    • Leverage knowledge and contribute to proper knowledge management within the project
    • Champion scientific writing and publication from the technology team
    • Act as a key point of contact between HMIS advisors, partners/stakeholders and senior project management team.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor?s degree in computer science or a closely related field. Master?s degree in Management Information systems, Strategic management, or Health Informatics is highly preferred
    • A minimum of 7 years of experience in at least two of the following industries: health information systems, IT management, or equivalent information system design, development, and administration.
    • Project management professional (PMP) or related certification
