    Regional Change Management Officer (Business Transformation)

    Role Purpose:

    The Regional Change & Deployment Manager is a role sitting within the Change and Deployment Team that has been created to deliver a number of high priority projects implementing new systems and business processes across Save the Children International (SCI)’s 55 country offices.

    The Regional Change Manager has responsibility for managing the change & deployment activities for these priority projects across a number of locations. They are responsible for ensuring all key office stakeholders understand the C&D methodology and its application, facilitating and supporting the offices with each project rollout and consolidation, ensuring active office engagement and ownership to achieve a successful implementation.

    For 2024/25 the role will be responsible for completing change and deployment activities relating to the implementation of a new operating model for Save the Children as well as the automation of key business processes such as cash and voucher assistance.

    This will include supporting a designated portfolio of country offices across the ESA (East & Southern Africa) and WCA (West & Central Africa) regions. At least 40% of the time is expected to be spent travelling to support country offices.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Essential

    • Demonstrated experience and capability of leading, facilitating and influencing change and the delivery of major projects affecting business processes and systems in the field
    • Proven ability to work in a large complex and highly networked matrix organisation and influence through ‘soft power’
    • Previous experience of, and highly effective in, the guiding and coaching of others towards successful delivery
    • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, a proven ability to engage stakeholders
    • Knowledge and experience of working within a standardised project methodology
    • A strong results orientation and proactive approach
    • Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken both English and French
    • Competent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Willingness and ability to travel within the region for circa 40%

    Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy Lead, Centrality of Protection

    Role Purpose:

    The holder of this position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision for the development and delivery of Save the Children’s global Centrality of Protection advocacy strategy in line with the One Humanitarian Team’s global strategy, the Humanitarian Advocacy Working Group’s advocacy priorities, as well as the Protected Breakthrough ambition and Live Free From Violence Global Goal. The holder will convene and coordinate Centrality of Protection advocacy and policy expertise across the organisation and movement, represent Save the Children externally in advocacy fora and draw from technical expertise, experience and learning across our humanitarian programmes as well as analysis of global trends and actors in carrying out this work. They will work with different internal teams and functions in SCI and across the movement and be responsible for ensuring cohesion across our humanitarian protection policy and advocacy. They will be responsible for supporting wider cross-thematic policy and advocacy activities relating to Save the Children’s work, promoting accountability for grave violations of children’s rights, adherence to IHL, and humanitarian access.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • Significant policy experience within the field of protection, and a proven track record in successfully leading the development and implementation of advocacy strategies on an international level in an INGO.
    • Substantial (7+ years) experience in humanitarian advocacy and policy roles at country or regional levels
    • Demonstrable track record in policy development and influencing on humanitarian crises at the global, regional and/or national level
    • Long-term experience and proven track record in multilateral advocacy at global level and successful advocacy at country level on protection and humanitarian policy related issues
    • Demonstrated expertise in protection advocacy and related thematic areas
    • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, and of delivering significant results. Experience of building shared objectives, quality control, evaluation, motivation, performance management, staff development and training
    • A demonstrable ability to plan and communicate at a strategic level
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
    • Excellent capacity-building skills, applicable across different countries and cultures and at the international level
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively
    • Commitment to Save the Children’s vision, mission and approach, including child safeguarding
    • Working knowledge of Spanish, French or Arabic is desirable
    • Experience of working in displacement contexts and/or humanitarian crises is essential

    Senior Project Manager – Global Shared Services for CRM

    Role Purpose:

    The Senior Project Manager for the Shared Services for CRM Project sits within the Project and Change Management Team that is part of the Transformation Delivery Department within Save the Children International. This team is responsible for managing the change management activities and deployment of projects into 60 Country and Regional offices and 29 Member organisations. We support different types of Transformation Projects and Programmes relating to Business Process, Organisation and System changes.

    In Save the Children, we currently have a diverse landscape of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms in use. With this project, we are looking to implement a Core CRM solution via Salesforce with a set of Global Shared Services for the benefit of our global movement. We will place an immediate focus on clusters of member countries that are using Salesforce CRM platforms, alongside member countries who are in the process of implementation projects, but acting independently. Through delivery of this project, we aim to streamline and offer a standardised core CRM solution, accessible across our movement. We will look to offer a variety of Shared Services for CRM to help members maximise their ability to interact with their donors and to enhance our global fundraising capabilities while promoting collaboration and harmonisation between parallel implementation projects. It is a complex project, with a high level of visibility and will require senior level engagement with stakeholders from across the movement.

    This role will be responsible for the planning, preparation and deployment of Shared Services for CRM and its associated business processes into the Save the Children Association. You will work collaboratively with an implementing partner and play a key role in establishing an Agile approach to project delivery within a traditionally Waterfall environment with established methodology and processes. This is a key initiative for SCA and will be key to drive greater efficiencies.

    The role holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the required project and portfolio management reporting including risk and issues logs, dependencies, status updates etc. In addition, they will be required to act as Scrum Master and lead all team ceremonies as well manage the Agile Project Management deliverables as part of the newly defined Save the Children Agile delivery framework. The role will also be required to work closely with the Business Analyst, Member Project Teams, Change teams and External Vendors. The senior project manager will work with the Global Change Manager to manage the relationship with the Member offices and work with an international team of IT staff and subject matter experts to drive the deployment forward.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Essential

    • Previous experience of delivering projects focused on the transformation journey of a Customer Relationship Platform for a global organisation
    • Extensive track record of successfully managing projects and programmes with multi-location roll outs and accountability for both technology configuration and deployment, integration, business process, change and infrastructure activities
    • Experience in establishing and embedding Agile methodology to deliver successful projects
    • Demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of programme and projects practices and standards (SCRUM, and others like Prince2, etc.)
    • Proficient demonstrable skills in managing and reporting on a project in compliance with a project delivery methodology in conjunction with a PMO function
    • Proven ability to deliver projects on time / on budget, using project management processes and tools including risk management, benefits management, financial management and quality assurance
    • Strong understanding of scope and change management
    • Comprehensive management and influencing skills with experience of working with senior level executives
    • Ability to resolve issues swiftly and decisively whilst safeguarding standards and procedures
    • Strong team leadership with the ability to motivate and mobilise individuals outside their reporting line
    • Strong business requirements collection, and process/workflow analysis skills including understanding of traceability
    • Excellent communication skills (written & oral English), including the ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organisation
    • Able to demonstrate instances of initiatives that have delivered organisational benefits
    • Cultural awareness required for international delivery
    • Experience in managing offshore project team members
    • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
    • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas

    • Proven experience of using and leading change management activities including change impact assessment, stakeholder management, managing resistance, building change capacity, designing and defining roles and responsibilities.
