GRADE C/D (Ref: UoEm/ASA/12/2016)
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the System Administrator shall be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
Applicants for this position must be holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Mathematics and Computer Science or related field from a recognized University. In addition, applicants must have:
i. Three (3) years relevant work experience in an IT department of a large institution;
ii. Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP, C, C#, Java, .NET, and Visual Basic;
iii. Proven exposure to Mobile Application Development;
iv. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills;
v. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player; and
vi. Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing administrative support including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.

In addition, applicants for senior positions at Grade 11 and above must also submit the following clearance certificate from;
i. Kenya Revenue Authority
ii. Higher Education Loans Board (showing status of loan recovery)
iii. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
iv. Credit Reference Bureau
v. Certificate of Good Conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigation
Applications together with referee letters (with job reference number clearly marked on the envelope) should reach the undersigned not later than Friday, 13th January 2017
