PELUM Association is a regional network of over 220 civil society organizations in 12 countries in East, Central and Southern Africa working in the area of participatory ecological land use management. The Association works to improve the livelihoods of small-scale farmers and the sustainability of farming communities, by fostering ecological land use management. Country chapters include Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Botswana, South Africa, Swaziland and Ethiopia.
Central Rift Valley Zone: Based in Molo and hosted by Baraka Agricultural College
Baraka Agricultural College and NIA are members of PELUM Kenya Network in the respective zones.
The recruited officers will be responsible for coordinating PELUM Kenya activities at the zonal level which includes fund raising for sustainability of the zones, strategic engagement at zonal level, coordination of capacity building initiatives in climate change, sustainable natural resource management and agribusiness for Member Organizations in the designated zone.
The ideal candidate should as a minimum have the following:
