Job purpose
This role is responsible for monitoring and evaluation of HR audits and review of HR policies & procedures.
Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks
Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities
- Review and put forward proposals to ensure KRA remains competitive in HR policies and audits
- Undertake relevant research to identify areas for development and review HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain staff policies, procedures and employee handbook manuals
- Collect, review, analyze and validate data and report on various HR management activities.
- Monitor levels of compliance of HR activities with policies and procedures in place.
- Day-to-day operations and supervision of staff in the unit
- Facilitate implementation of the work plans for the following corporate initiatives in the unit: Audit, Integrity, QMS and Risk Management.
- Facilitate initiatives to improve ethics, culture and facilitate change management in the unit
- Sensitize staff on approved HR polices and the need to adhere to the policies.
- Engage stakeholders on implementation and adherence to HR policies.
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks
- Develop effective strategy implementation plans;
- Prepare and review draft new policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain staff policy and procedures and employee handbook manuals.
- Communicate changes in policies and procedures to all staff.
- Undertake trend analysis on various HR areas and submitting reports on the same with recommendations.
- Conduct periodic reviews on adherence to internal policies and legal statutes
- Conduct research/surveys for benchmarking and reviews for HR policies

Academic qualifications
- A degree in Human Resource Management or related field from a recognized institution.
Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
- Diploma in HR/Post graduate Diploma in HR/ Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP)
- Membership to a Professional Body – IHRM
Previous relevant work experience required.
- Minimum of 4 years work experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
