    Business Development Executive

    Our client a digital marketplace, knowledge, information and talent listing hub for women. We connect women-led MSMEs to quality markets and offer entrepreneurship, business formalization, digital skills and last-mile fulfilment training to women running MSMEs. 

    We seek to hire a Business Development Executive (BDE) who will be responsible for managing the product portfolio, generating sales, business growth and brand management. The ideal person must be strong in business development, marketing and people skills

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Generate and maintain a computerized customer and prospect database 
    2. Plan and carry out direct marketing and sales budgets 
    3. Close on leads and meet set sales targets
    4. Develop and execute business development and marketing strategies
    5. Drive community, professional and corporate member subscriptions
    6. Responsible for brand management and visibility
    7. Drive digital marketing campaigns and strategies
    8. Supervise the digital media team to ensure they meet set targets
    9. Build and maintain client relationships and business partnerships
    10. Manage and service client contracts
    11. Maintain and execute income generators for business
    12. Write proposals, generate and close leads
    13. Plan, execute and communicate the community calendar of events
    14. Oversee quarterly production of community magazines.

    Person’s Specification

    1. Must have at least 3 years of business development experience 
    2. Must be able to energetically drive business
    3. Has a track record of meeting sales targets and demonstrable strong sales and marketing skills
    4. Able to grow and maintain relationships
    5. Possess great proposal writing skills
    6. Strong knowledge of digital media management
    7. Excellent understanding of brand management
    8. Very good communicator both orally and in writing
    9. Strong people skills and customer service orientation
