ROLE PURPOSE:
Providing a unique skillset and contribution to the Crisis Anticipation and Response Team, within the data and information section, this role will support the collation, editing, and presentation of key information on the Save the Children response portfolio as well as the contexts in which we work for internal and external audiences. To deliver high-standard outputs that present key data and messages in engaging and innovative ways, this post holder will be required to have strong publishing, writing and visualization software skills. Operating as an internal service provider to content-generating teams and functions, this post holder will need to display a highly collaborative mind-set, and be able to work both reactively and pro-actively.
The Humanitarian Information Visualization Officer will produce a range of regular and one-off, reports on key humanitarian issues or high-profile contexts based on provided analysis and upon request.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal job description and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
