    Corporate Credit Origination

    Job Purpose

    • Overall responsibility for Portfolio Management within Corporate Banking.
    • Primarily responsible for managing the credit risk associated with the portfolio and ensuring high-quality portfolio.
    • Closely work with the relevant stakeholders from origination to monitoring, playing a vital role in deal structuring to add value from a credit/policy perspective.
    • Work with the relevant stakeholders on a specified portfolio and facilitate revenue growth in the portfolio.
    • Participate and contribute to cross-selling the Bank’s products.

    JOB OBJECTIVES
    Key Responsibilities
    KEY ACTIVITIES
    Deal Origination

    • Interact with the client, gather deal requirements, financial statements, and other inputs for performing quality analysis and due diligence.
    • Work with relevant stakeholders in structuring credit solutions for the clients and ensuring the appropriateness of the products.
    • Prepare and secure approval for Term Sheets, wherever required
    • Work with relevant stakeholders in:
    • Obtaining all pre-clearances for deals relating to AML screening, Exclusion List, CRB, etc.
    • Deals Structuring and other account optimization initiatives
    • Expediting approvals.
    • Responsible for end-to-end credit proposal process including preparing all the tools like environmental and social due diligence report, Scorecard, Finales, etc., in-depth analysis of various risks, quality presentation, and ensuring timely credit approval.
    • Ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio-related aspects/matters

    Post Deal Account Monitoring

    • Promptly carry out interim credit proposal reviews and amendments as the business demands
    • Ensure zero facility renewal overdue and extensions not breaching the required threshold lower of 5 or 5% credit applications in the month with regards to the assigned portfolio.
    • Liaise with Credit Risk on credit proposals, variations, memoranda, and other credit issues and ensure quick turnaround on queries.
    • Proper maintenance of Clients’ credit files and ensuring audit ready at all times
    • Attend accounts downgraded to Watch status/Portfolio calls along with the relevant stakeholders
    • Prepare and seek periodic approval where applicable on Covenants, Risk Triggers and Deferrals report
    • In partnership with the relationship manager and/or branch manager, ensure timely identification of accounts to be downgraded to Watch status, as per the Bank’s policies and guidelines

    Others

    • Prepare timely Stress Tests, wherever required
    • Prepare specific industry study
    • Prepare Credit Opinion reports wherever required.
    • Effective use of Bank systems

    Additional Responsibilities

    • On request, participate in Group-wide HR and business initiatives and provide expert advice on Corporate Credit matters including any other matter that may be assigned by the Team Leader from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors' Degree
    • Professional Qualification e.g. Accounting - CPA, ACCA; Banking - AKIB, Investment Banking - CFA
    • Masters Degree, an added advantage
    • Training on Credit Analysis, Deal Structuring
    • Experience in Credit Risk Analysis
    • Understanding of Trade Finance and Treasury products and services
    • Skills such as Presentation, Report Writing preferred

    Group Head of Delivery

    Job Purpose:

    • This is a leadership role for overseeing the delivery of projects and programs to ensure that they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
    • To ensure strategic alignment of the projects and programs with the Africa Resilience and recovery plan 
    • Optimize project portfolios, balance capacity against demand, and connect plans and resources to project execution
    • Reports to the Group Director, Enterprise Project Management Office.

    Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    Planning

    • Develop Road Maps for Program including conducting analysis, developing the program and change management plans, and driving execution.
    • Lead requirements management processes including requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and ongoing scope management.
    • Be accountable for project planning, work breakdown structure (WBS) / Scheduling, financial management, and quality and performance management
    • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors 
    • Work closely with Business leaders and sponsors, cross-functional work groups.
    • Work with Program Managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.

    Budget and Cost Utilization

    • Monitor and evaluate Programs budget.
    • Provide oversight of development and cost management for projects and programs.
    • Be accountable for delivering against established business goals/ objective

    Reporting & Tracking

    • Guarantee adequate and constant communications management and reporting from Program Managers to all Stakeholders and Sponsors.

    Implementation

    • Ensure standardization of delivery.
    • Guarantee development, production and delivery of executive presentations, program updates, and set and articulate goals and timelines to executive leadership.
    • Evaluate and monitor implementation as per SDLC.
    • Oversee multiple programs teams, ensuring program goals are reached
    • Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives

    Communication

    • Coordinate with other portfolio leaders and stakeholders to gather project status, performance and communicate policy where required.

    Risk Management

    • Collaborate Risk leadership, risk owners to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
    • Ensure Risk Register per Program is up to date. 
    •  Analyze, evaluate, overcome portfolio risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.

    Project Closure

    • Review overall project governance and project closure
    • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills/Experience

    • Demonstrated successful mastery of major components of the Project Lifecycle Development in the context of major systems implementations.
    • Ability to communicate strategic knowledge objectives to executive management
    • Ability to explain technical complexities from data, dashboards, and present complex information to a variety of stakeholders including executives.
    • Strong Leadership/Management skills
    • Demonstrated mastery on project scheduling on MS Project or an equivalent project Management Tool like Smartsheet.
    • Ability to organize and direct quality time-bound work efforts in a matrixed environment.
    • Experience with financial services systems preferred.
    • Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Outstanding client relationship management skills. 
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Must have experience managing large-scale projects and budgets exceeding $1M+
    • Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
    • Comfortable working with executive management.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive crucial conversations across stakeholders of varying seniority.
    • Ability to manage multiple medium to complex business & projects
    • 10+ years of professional experience
    • 8+ years of professional project management experience on projects
    • 5+ years of experience in running projects in an agile environment
    • PMP certification preferred.
    • Must demonstrate an understanding of financial services.
    • Bachelor's Degree is required.

    Group Head of Project Support & Governance

    Job Purpose:

    • This is a leadership role for overseeing the project management framework, ensuring governance standards are adhered to, and providing support to project teams across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
    • Reports to the Group Director, Enterprise Project Management Office.

    Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    Leadership and Strategy

    • Develop and implement the overall project management strategy, policies, and processes.
    • Lead and mentor the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) team across the group.
    • Responsible for management of the project management tools and facilitating trainings.

    Governance and Compliance

    • Establish and enforce project governance standards and methodologies.
    • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and standards.
    • Perform routine audits and evaluations of project processes and documentation.

    Project Support

    • Provide guidance and support to project managers and teams.
    • Facilitate project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Develop and maintain project documentation, tools, and templates

    Performance Monitoring

    • Develop and oversee the implementation of project performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
    • Evaluate project performance data to detect patterns and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in project management practices.
    • Implement best practices and industry standards in project management.
    • Take the lead in driving projects to strengthen project management capabilities and tools throughout the bank.

    Risk Management

    • Support the project managers to evaluate potential risks associated with the projects and devise strategies to minimize their impact.
    • Monitor the risks continuously throughout the project's lifecycle and make necessary adjustments to the plans.
    • Ensure that contingency plans are prepared for crucial project components.

    Qualifications
