    Telemarketing (1 Position, National Office)

    Position Summary:

    • Reporting to the Head of the Fund of Development and Communications, the Telemarketing Officer supports fundraising efforts by contacting donors and potential donors, securing funding, and following up on leads generated from digital and face-to-face campaigns.

    Key Performance Areas and Main Responsibilities:
    Lead Follow-up:

    • Contact current and potential donors to thank them and follow up on their interest.
    • Qualify leads and assess their level of interest and commitment.

    Donor Engagement:

    • Engage donors in conversations about the organization's mission and programs.
    • Provide information on donation options and fundraising initiatives.

    Lead Management:

    • Document donor interactions in Salesforce CRM.
    • Ensure accurate and complete donor records.

    Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the Digital Fundraising Officer for seamless lead handovers.
    • Provide feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.

    Fundraising:

    • Actively solicit donations to meet fundraising targets.
    • Tailor appeals to donor preferences and interests.
    • Performs other reasonable tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

    Formal Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Diploma in Communications or Business Administration in the Communication field.
    • Bachelor’s Degree will be an added advantage in the field of Communications and/or business administration.
    • 1 - 2 years of verified experience in telemarketing, customer service, or fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit or call center environment
    • Strong commitment to teamwork.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage donors in conversation, build rapport, and inspire support for SOS Children's Villages Kenya.
    • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to fundraising success.
    • Be flexible and willing to adjust activities and priorities and take on new responsibilities.
    • Applies creativity and good judgment in addressing donors.
    • Well written and spoken English skills
    • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, CRM Dynamics systems, and data entry processes.
    • Data capturing experience
    • Effective time management skills, ability to work under pressure
    • Strong listening skills, empathy, and patience to understand donor needs, address concerns, and provide appropriate information and assistance.

    Digital Officer (1 Position, National Office)

    Position Summary:

    • Reporting to the Head of Fund of Development and Communications, the Digital Fundraiser's primary role is to implement digital fundraising strategies in alignment with the fundraising strategy and priorities set.The Digital Fundraising Officer will play a key role in the Fund Development and Communications Department at SOS Children's Villages in Kenya, overseeing all digital fundraising campaigns and managing digital channels and systems. This position will be responsible for driving online fundraising initiatives from ideation to implementation, leveraging various digital platforms to engage donors and raise funds for the organization.

    Key Performance Areas and Main Responsibilities:
    Digital Fundraising Campaigns:

    • Develop and execute email appeals, social media fundraisers, and online giving events.
    • Create compelling campaign content and multimedia assets.

    Digital Channel Management:

    • Manage digital presence across various channels, optimizing for fundraising purposes.

    CMS and CRM Administration:

    • Administer Kentico CMS and Salesforce CRM systems, ensuring accurate data management.

    Lead Generation and Management:

    • Implement strategies to acquire new donors through digital channels.
    • Manage and qualify leads for follow-up by the telemarketing team.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Monitor and analyze digital fundraising performance metrics.
    • Generate reports and insights for campaign optimization.

    Formal Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, fundraising, or nonprofit communications, with a focus on online fundraising campaigns
    • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing software, social media management tools, and online fundraising platforms, and web-related software (HTML coding, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.)
    • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems, preferably Kentico and Salesforce.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and optimize digital campaigns for maximum impact.
    • Familiarity with marketing tools such as audience analysis, message testing, and surveys.
    • Understanding of the local fundraising market.
    • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles.
    • Proficiency in Google Analytics for tracking and measuring success.
    • Familiarity with the mobile market, SMS market, PPC, and PPL markets.
    • Effective presentation and reporting skills.
    • Strong knowledge of Google Grants.
    • Project management skills and the ability to advise on effective test programs.
    • Proven teamwork skills and the ability to network effectively, even in remote work settings.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

    Individual Giving Coordinator (1 Position, National Office)

    Position Summary:

    • Reporting to the Head of Fund Development and Communications, the Individual Giving Coordinator is responsible for fundraising activities targeting individuals to achieve financial self-sufficiency for the Member Association. This role will oversee digital and face-to-face recruitment channels, focusing on product development, recruitment strategies, and donor loyalty programs.

    Key Performance Areas and Main Responsibilities:
    Team Leadership and Management:

    • Lead and manage the individual recruitment team.
    • Oversee F2F team recruitment processes, ensuring adherence to targets and quality standards

    Product Development:

    • Develop and implement innovative fundraising products and appeals.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify fundraising priorities and initiatives.

    Recruitment Strategies:

    • Execute recruitment strategies across digital and F2F channels.
    • Monitor performance, analyze trends, and optimize recruitment efforts.
    • Design and implement donor loyalty programs to enhance retention and maximize donor value.

    Performance Management:

    • Establish performance goals for the recruitment team and track progress.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development initiatives.

    Compliance and Monitoring:

    • Adhere to SOS guidelines and legal requirements.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities in individual fundraising.
    • Performs any other tasks that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time

    Formal Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fundraising, individual giving, or marketing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce and Kentico systems is an added advantage.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve fundraising goals.
    • Knowledge of digital and traditional fundraising techniques, including direct response, email marketing, and face-to-face solicitation.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with donors and stakeholders.
    • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, analyze performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
