    Chief Manager – Enterprise Project Management Office

    Purpose of the job:

    The Chief Manager – Enterprise Project Management Office will be responsible for overall leadership and governance of KRA's Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management functions by establishing standards, processes, and tools to ensure effective selection and delivery of Programs and Projects. Develops and directs project management operations and planning to meet organizational goals.

    Works to ensure KRA continuously delivers projects in a timely manner to enable the realization of the authority’s goals.

    Key Responsibilities of the job:

    Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership for Project Delivery within the Organization.
    • Ensure the effective and financially sustainable delivery of KRA's Projects Portfolio in line with scope, available budgets, and appropriate timelines.
    • Coordinate internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
    • Respond to escalated project portfolio issues that may impede timely delivery and coordinate appropriate solutions.
    • Develop, review and implement policies, frameworks, and procedures to enable efficient and quality delivery of projects.
    • Secretary to the Projects Investment Appraisal Board responsible for review and approval of Project Business Cases.
    • Enhance the culture of pro-activity, innovation, transparency, collaboration, and flexibility in all aspects of Project Delivery, including the use of modern practices like agile delivery.
    • Ensure that appropriate quality systems are in place for the purposes of effective and efficient Project Delivery.
    • Ensure the automation of portfolio management processes to create efficiency in project planning, management, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Ensure that procurement processes within projects are undertaken in compliance with corporate and legislative rules.
    • Provide effective leadership and project management to projects including monitoring and controlling all financial, programming and quality aspects as appropriate;
    • Review, evaluate, provide visibility and advise to leadership in a timely manner on ongoing issues, risks, scope changes, and progress statuses for projects while ensuring that it is appropriate, accurate, and up-to-date management information available.
    • Develop and retain talent, while also attracting additional talent to work in Projects Delivery.
    • Provide leadership of the Enterprise Project Management Office team including Supervision, Coaching, Mentoring, Performance Management, Professional Development, and succession planning of EPMO staff.
    • Budgeting and resources management for the Enterprise Project Management Office, including participation in resource Mobilization from Development Partners.
    • Undertake other duties commensurate with the job level as requested by the supervisor from time to time.

    Operational Responsibilities / Tasks

    • Management of timely project delivery including handling of escalated issues, risks, and scope changes.
    • Implementation of agile project delivery practice in the organization.
    • Reporting on Corporate Projects to KRA Management and the Board of Directors as per agreed specifications and frequency
    • Projects level Change Management/Coordination.
    • Management of the Projects Investments Appraisal Process to ensure standardized business case justification and approvals for better realization of Projects Benefits Plan.
    • Operationalization of automated and centralized project management and document collaboration solutions to facilitate efficient project planning, reporting, and document storage/retrieval.
    • Lead Monitoring and Evaluation activities of corporate projects
    • Conflicts resolution and collaboration with stakeholders (internal and external to KRA) to ensure Projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
    • Capacity development for Projects, Programmes, and Portfolio Management teams.
    • Projects Management, Administration, and Support.

    The job holder should possess the following minimum qualifications:

    Academic qualification:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computing, Engineering, Project Management, Business, and or other relevant Degree from a recognized university.
    • A Master’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management or related discipline is an added advantage.

    Professional qualification:

    • Training/Certification in Delivery of Projects, Programmes, and Portfolios is an added advantage.
    • Training/Certification in Agile Project Management methodologies is an added advantage

    Professional experience:

    • At least 7 years of working experience
    • At least 3 years of managerial experience in Project Management

    Manager - Deputy Registrar

    Job Summary:

    The role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all activities related to the admissions, enrolment records and Examination administration of students, including serving as the official authorized keeper of student records.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Coordinate the admission and registration of new and continuing students in consultation with Campus Principals and their administrators
    • Take custody of rules and regulations of students’ admission and examinations in the DC (AA) office.
    • Maintenance of records of all student matters such as admissions, registration, examinations, and copies of transcripts and student files for ease of reference.
    • Secretariat of all Academic Board meetings and sub-committee meetings organized by the DC (AA) or on his behalf.
    • Oversee Examination administration processes and procedures.
    • Assist the DC (AA) with organization, supervision, and preparation of examination pass lists for presentation to the KESRA Academic board.
    • Follow up on the implementation of academic schedules.
    • Manage graduations by:
    • Preparing graduation lists on behalf of DC (AA) and the KESRA Board
    • Organizing graduation functions in collaboration with Principals and other staff.
    • Handle student matters especially correspondences, deferments, and transfers.
    • Any other duty may be assigned from time to time.

    Academic and Professional qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, business studies, education or related field from a recognized University.
    • Membership in a relevant Professional Body is an added advantage.

    Relevant work experience required

    • Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a similar role, two (2) of which should be at first-level management.
