    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Head of Department - Regional Operations Department, the position holder will manage sales and distribution aspects in within given regions. This role will also be responsible for acquiring new customers, growing the agents/sub-agents business and ensure availability of M-PESA services in the area at all times.

    Detailed Description

    • Effectively implement market penetration strategy in the trade
    • Acquisition of new customers.
    • Ensure 100% adherence to Sales Force Effectiveness routines and tools both individually and the team
    • Grow Right Execution daily scores for the region month on month
    • Assistance with the change management process within the teams and thebusiness

    Agribusiness Sales and Distribution Manager

    We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Agribusiness Department within the Enterprise Business Unit Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the HoD Agribusiness, the role holder will be responsible for generation of sales revenue through effective management of Safaricom Business in the assigned area by ensuring constant availability of Safaricom products and services and effectively aligning field activities with the overall agribusiness strategy.

    The key objective will be to drive and achieve revenue targets through solution selling and segment propositions.

    Detailed Description

    CUSTOMER ACQUISITION AND REVENUE GROWTH

    • Effective implementation of strategy to achieve availability of Enterprise products and services and grow revenue the assigned area;
    • Ensure achievement of assigned revenue and NPS targets;
    • Prepare, plan and execute programmes aimed at market penetration;
    • Create awareness and guide the business with customer insights on Agri business growth strategy.
    • RELATIONSHIP & BASELINE RETENTION 
    • Develop and execute customer ring fencing strategies;
    • Stimulate existing prepositions within Agri business;
    • Develop strong relationships at CXO level in government and wider Buying Centers to understand mid-to-long term  objectives;
    • Churn Management;
    • Contract Management: Follow up on all existing contracts & renewal;
    • Provide insights into the refinement of customer journey processes;
    • Timely response to customer correspondence (not later than 24 Hrs.)
    • Flag potential escalations in good time. 

    RELATIONSHIP ACCOUNT DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

    • Formulate and manage customer relationship through up-to-date Account Development Plans, opportunity road maps, pipeline management and the entire sales cycle plan;
    • Leverage company assets (events & activities) to nature relationship with key stakeholders (CXO & Buying Centres).

    REPORTING

    • Manage reporting cycles (daily, weekly, and monthly);
    • Strict adherence on use of CRM (SFA) systems for progressing customer orders and reporting;
    • Timely circulation of customer meeting minutes (Not later than 24 Hrs.)

    NPS

    • Manage customer relationships to drive Net Promoter Score by maintaining strong and deep relationships with accounts under direct management;
    • Follow through on all customer issues until closure;
    • Maintaining communication with the customer throughout the entire customer journey.

     Qualifications

    Job Requirements

    • Degree in Agribusiness, Commerce Marketing option;
    • 3 years’ work experience in a B2B environment selling agribusiness solutions; 
    • Knowledge/ Work experience in ICT will be an added advantage;
    • Strong relationship building skills;
    • New business development skills;
    • Be commercially savvy with a deep understanding and demonstration of solution selling.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in Trade Execution in an FMCG environment,1 of which must have been in a sales managerial position.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in Agribusiness Key Customer Account Management.
    • At least 3 years' Solution Sales experience in a reputable Agricultural Inputs Company.

    Human Resource Business Partner-Technology

     Detailed Description

    • Support the Senior HRBP in formulating and implementing value adding strategic HR Functional plans that deliver business results;
    • Support the Senior HR Business Partner and in liaison with the COE colleagues to deliver best practice, customer and solution focused HR function, on: Recruitment, Retention and Contract Management, Employee Inductions and Deployment, Performance Management, Rewards Management, Training Needs Analysis and Capability Building, Change Management, Talent Management Routines and Succession Planning;
    • Provide professional and timely employee relations advice and guidance to managers and colleagues. Provide coaching and support as required, and be comfortable influencing and challenging where appropriate;
    • Interpret and provide advice on HR policy and variations across the BU or Division, supporting managers in the practical implementation of HR policies, employment legislation and best practice;
    • Provide advice and guidance for disciplinary hearings and other types of hearings and where appropriate offer advice and guidance to the panel;
    • Support in managing organizational change, redundancy and redeployment, in line with legislation, policy and good practice; and
    • Deputize for the Senior HRBP as requested at Business and other strategic meetings.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Business Management or related field with ideally a HND in HR
    • Knowledge of HR with a  minimum of deep knowledge in 2 HR practice areas
    • Ideally 3-5 years’ work experience within the HR function directly in, or closely supporting, executive and/or line operations.

    Reporting to Senior Manager-Business Planning & Reporting, the position holder will ensure that the business is able to process, compile and report the annual budgets and quarterly forecast results to management and the Group on a timely basis. The preparation of the annual budgets and quarterly forecast results should comply with company procedures and the accounting policies for the Group and submitted in the formats prescribed

    Key Responsibilities

    • Document and implement best practice budgetary processes and procedures and ensure they are in conformity with ISO standards. 
    • Ensure the budgetary processes and procedures are reviewed and updated quarterly.
    • Ensure implementation of the company processes & procedures in the preparation of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts while incorporating the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • Ensure the annual budgets, long range plan and quarterly forecast information adheres to IFRS and complies with Group accounting policies.
    • Preparation of the Hyperion supporting schedules, reconciliation statements and financial statements ready for use in the Vodafone Group submissions.
    • Identify improvements in the Oracle financial application that impact on the Budgeting Model and participate in the implementation of the improvements.

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements 

    • Bachelor of Commerce or Economics Degree or relevant degree 
    • Over 5-6 years accounting experience in an international or well-run company coupled with CPA/ACCA/CA/CIMA/ACA Qualifications. 
    • At least 3 years’ management experience in corporate reporting for financial and management information
    • Sound knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standards and their application
    • Experience in preparation of Financial Reports in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) will be an added advantage 
    • Good analytical skills for decision making and attention to detail.
    • MBA qualification will be an added advantage with high computer literacy
