    HR Business Partner Support Officer

    Job Purpose Statement

    The purpose of the role is to provide day to day administrative support to the Retail Banking Senior HRBP and HRBP Support Manager. This will be achieved through working closely with them to ensure efficient and effective running of the HR initiatives through provision of day to day operational support as per the defined HR procedures and best practices. The role shall also ensure that reports and data analyses is prepared proactively to yield insights and that staff information is managed securely.

    Key Result Areas

    Financial 10%

    • Work closely with the Senior HRBP and HRBP support Manager to ensure manpower plans remain within the approved staff costs and head count budget of the for Retail banking.

    Customer 50% 

    Ensure the following HR processes are executed exceptionally as per the HR Policy and procedures:

    Recruitment & Selection

    • Advertisement of the Vacant roles after the approval of the hiring manager and Senior HRBP
    • Collecting CVs for potential candidates and updating in the Database
    • Scheduling candidates for interviews
    • Filing interview results and related documents Staff Documentation & Filing
    • Liaising with the Senior HRBP, HRBP Support Manager & Security Manager to conduct documents verification and reference checks for successful candidates
    • Documentation and filing for the Direct Sales team
    • Tracking of contract renewals for the direct sales team to ensure appraisals are timely, notices and renewals are done by the due date.
    • Documentation processing for permanent staff and onward transmission to the HR Shared Services team for filling.

    Preparation of HR Reports and Data Analysis

    Work closely with the team to prepare the following reports and data:-

    • Headcount reports
    • Updating Retail organisation structures
    • Working closely with the Senior HRBP to prepare presentations for monthly HR update meetings

    Internal business processes 20% 

    • Collectively drive the HR Division’s adherence to approved policies and procedures and provide feedback on the same to keep them competitive.
    • Be an advocate for a continually improving way of working within the team to drive efficient and impactful engagement and accurate delivery of service.
    • Proactively participate in organisation projects.

    Learning and growth 20% 

    • Maintain own high performance.
    • Attain required learning hours and adhere to policy on annual leave
    • Own up-to-date and actioned competency assessments and development plans.
    • Work towards observing the bank values and service standards to ensure a good departmental CSI score

    Ideal Job Specifications

    • Academic: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized accredited university.
    • Professional: At least 2 years’ experience in administrative HR or operations in a mid-sized organisation. HR Certification recognized by IHRM

    Desired work experience:

    • Proven track record of consistently supporting the achievement of operational processes in HR.
    • In-depth knowledge of the local banking industry, banking products, banking services and banking regulations.
    • Sound working knowledge and understanding of all labour regulations and practices.

    Sales Officer, Life Assurance

    Job Purpose Statement

    Responsible for the Sales, Distribution and Marketing of Life Assurance in the Bancassurance business through the development and execution of the strategy for business growth in given areas. The role will drive business growth through active selling to the existing bank customers from various business segments mainly Retail Banking as well as the general public. The role also involves establishing and managing business relationships for business growth and ensuring high customer experience standards are maintained in line with the overall strategic plan.

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Revenue and Cost Management 65% 

    • Achieve Bancassurance Retail sales targets as per the set out performance targets.
    • Ensure retention ratio of 90% of Retail Insurance businesses.
    • Execute marketing programs in line with the Bancassurance strategy for business growth
    • Sign up new insurance clients sourced from Retail and Workplace Banking.
    • Upsell and cross sell insurance to existing customers as per stipulated targets.
    • Conduct weekly client visits and prepare respective call reports. At least 3 visits per week.
    • Monitoring the insurance market trends and giving continuous feedback to ensure we provide timely solutions and maintain product competitiveness.

    Customer Service Excellence 25% 

    • Ensure all client documents are dispatched to Finance team within 24hours.
    • Ensure payments are collected within 90days TAT.
    • Oversee quality control in all aspects of corporate business processing as stipulated in the procedure and product manuals.
    • Ensuring that the insurance policies sold to customers match their long-term financial needs by providing effective advice, competitive quotes and ensuring compliance with the rules and guidelines as set by the underwriters and other providers.
    • Prepare relevant production / activity reports i.e. Retail and Workplace Banking sales performance reports.

    People and Culture 10% 

    • Adequacy of personal competence to effectively perform relationship management tasks for Bancassurance.

    Sales Dealer

    Job Purpose Statement

    Under the guidance of the Head of Global Market Sales, You actively participate in the formulation and implementation of the Market Sales Strategy in line with the NCBA Bank Global Market Sales Strategy and requirements. You will make markets in your team's particular range of products, especially in FX like Spot, FX forward, FX Swap and investments. You will be managing risk, liquidity and exposure and you will support and manage all aspects of the sales desk. You will act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external Global Market Sales clients, by phone and email while ensuring regular face-to-face engagements to provide thoughtful and analytical market updates, product information and strategic advice and grow assigned portfolio by acquisition of new clientele. You will coordinate efforts with credit portfolio management, relationship management, operations, legal and other groups to support FX marketing for specific customers and for the overall desk. 

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Financial 55% 

    • Deliver the Global Markets FX Sales income budget.
    • Optimization of income through profitable sales of Foreign Exchange and other Treasury products.
    • Actively manage a portfolio of clients exclusively with the objective of increasing the banks share of business
    • Ensure revenue growth for the bank through cross selling of other bank products to existing and new Treasury clients
    • Use data analytics to assess portfolio health and forecast future growth path.

    Internal business processes 10% 

    • To provide portfolio monthly performance report to management.
    • Understand and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines the Group’s policies and procedures; and the Group code of conduct.
    • Effectively and collaboratively, identify, escalate and resolve risk and compliance matters.
    • Comply with data confidentiality requirements
    • Engage with all audit report findings, relevant to the Sales business and ensure feedback is acted upon.
    • Adhere to all Treasury processes in line with the approved policies and procedures.
    • Timely and accurate input of all the deals concluded in the dealing system, facilitate efficient settlement of all merchant trades and ensure deal information sent to the back office is in the required format.
    • Assist in the department’s regular activities in the absence of other dealers.

    Customer 25% 

    • Understand drivers of relevant markets and establish a high degree of competence with clients around executing trades.
    • Grow FX portfolio by ensuring client retention and acquisition of new clientele.
    • Build a deeper understanding of user behaviours and use predictive analysis and experimentation to identify the corresponding business opportunities.
    • Prepare client-meeting plans in coordination with the relationship managers under the respective portfolios, visit them on regular basis, and to log visit reports on CRM and follow-up actions.
    • Prepare and deliver customer presentations articulately and confidently

    Learning and growth 10%

    • Take up development programs to ensure continuous enhancement of own competences.
    • Contribute to continuous process improvement and sharing best practice.
    • Provide timely and continuous product training to all RMs, branch staff and other business units across the bank
    • Attend all scheduled trainings and complete all elearning modules. 

    Job Specifications

    Desired work experience:

    • At least 3 years’ experience in Treasury business in an active sales role.
