Year 7/8 Primary Class Teachers at Summit Recruitment and Search

The ideal candidate should have specialism in one subject or the creative arts and MUST have experience in the British/International curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching core subjects as per British National and Edexcel Curriculum.
• Teaching specialist core subject in KS2 classes as appropriate.
• Teaching co-curricular subjects, such as music/art/drama as appropriate.
• Using enquiry/project based approach to learning, as per MYP or IMYC guidance.
• Planning, preparing & presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
• Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
• Maintaining constructive class relationships with Positive Behaviour management at all times.
• Researching, preparing, assessing and marking to facilitate positive pupil development.
• Meeting school requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development.
• Working with others to plan and co-ordinate work, being flexible where necessary.

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in education.
• Must have 2 + years’ experience in the British/International curriculum essential.
• Must be Fluent in ICT and its incorporation into curriculum delivery.
• Experience in IB/IPC and enquiry based learning an advantage.
• Good communication skills both oral and written.
• Creative and flexible.
• A good knowledge, interest and experience of the subject(s) you are going to teach.
• Consideration and empathy with students.
• Ability to continually learn as your subject(s) changes.
• Good preparation and planning skills.
• The ability to make your subject(s) interesting to students
