The Position:
Reporting to the Head, SAHL banking the jobholder is responsible for creating and maintaining Relationships with Islamic Banking customers in a manner that grows business product uptake and utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and leading customer relations, both corporate and Retail.
- Shari’ah compliant product sales and other cross sales of other basket products as per targets
- Liaison with Relationship teams and Retail Branch network to grow the business
- Risk Management to mitigate losses e.g. Frauds and revenue leakages.
- Training and development of direct reports and Business bankers across the branch network
- Proper Documentation and administrations of Shari’ah compliant portfolios, Managing PAR as per set targets.
The Person:
For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Related Field from a University recognized by Commission for University Education.
- Profession Certification in Islamic Banking
- Master’s degree in a related field will be an added advantage
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in the banking industry, 3 of which should be at management level, with the following specific areas of experience:
- 3 years’ experience in sales and relationship management
- 3 years’ experience in credit analysis and administration
- 4 years’ experience in Islamic Banking
- A thorough knowledge of Retail Banking products and services, and extensive Banking Industry knowledge.
- Excellent high quality interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to network and develop strong business relations
- A good understanding of risk, credit policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competences in championing high performance management.
- Excellent planning, organization, problem solving and analytical skills.
