    Administration Officer/HR

    Job Summary

    The Administrative Officer will be responsible for the overall management of the office including office meeting management, liaising with other health department to ensure efficient and smooth processes,
    ensure cleanliness of the office, workstations and common areas, safe custody of program m records.

    Additionally, He/she will maintain a quarterly updated register of all fixed assets and consumables at the project office.

    Roles and responsibilities

    • Handling correspondences
    • Attending to visitors
    • Responsible for office cleanliness and organization
    • Handling office calls and appointments as well as monitor office diary
    • Support travel itinerary for staff
    • Ensure security of office equipment through establishment and maintenance of inventory, security of records including program classified information
    • Organizing and servicing meetings including recording and safe custody of minutes of meetings
    • Ensure proper filing system of program records
    • Implementing new procedures and administrative systems; managing office protocol and etiquette
    • Liaising with relevant organizations and clients
    • Develop and update human resources policies and procedures in line with MoH policies,
    • Develops and implements the staff training and development plans
    • Review and update position descriptions for relevancy and consistency across Migori County in line with MOH policies through liaising with county human resources section
    • Manages employee relations, welfare, and benefits in accordance with the human resource policy manual
    • Supervise and provide oversight to the drive and vehicle use as well proper documentation of vehicle related documents
    • Undertaking other office administrative duties as may be assigned by program manager of business official

    Qualification

    • Degree in Business Administration, Business management, commerce, office management
    • Majors in human resources or post graduate diploma in human resource will have an added advantage
    • At least 3 years of working as an office manage or human resources officer
    • Strong computer skills in accounting software, Microsoft office application including Word, Excel, Power Point
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to efficiently take up multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
    • Must be a self-motivated, diligent, and reliable person who can work with minimal supervision.
    • Good communication skills, written and verbal, in English and Kiswahili languages
    • Must be registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management of Kenya (K) [IHRM–K] with good professional standing or any other approved registration and professional body for Human Resource Professionals in Kenya

    3. All applications should reach the Secretary/CEO Migori County Public Service Board on or before Wednesday 16thMarch, 2022 at 5:00pm.
    4. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic and professional certificates and testimonials.
    5. For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearances:

    • Tax compliance certificate from KRA
    • Clearance certificate from HELB
    • Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
    • Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
