    Health Records and Management Officer

    Job summary

    • The overall function of this position in liaison with sub county HRIO and program SI lead, is to support efficient data processes including accurate data collection, proper use of current data collection tools, data collation, reporting at sub county, county as well as in the data warehouse, interpretation and use at site and Sub–County level.

    Roles and responsibilities

    • Manage data from program supported facilities including supporting data entry, data cleaning, standardization, and validation for reporting
    • Support in management of program databases/dashboards including DATIM, 3PM, DRAWS and the KHIS to meet data requirements for the program, the MoH, CDC and other stakeholders
    • Support designing, development and use of data capture tools that are relevant for donor and program requirements
    • Providing supportive supervision, mentorship and on the job training for all the clinical staff and data staff at supported health facilities

    Required qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Health Records and information Management.

    • Very good knowledge of MoH HIV data capture and reporting tools as well as indicators
    • Experience in using and supporting use of EMR Systems e.g., Kenya MR, web ADT, KHIS, DATIM and 3PM is required.
    • Proficient in statistical packages such as STATA, Excel, and any data visualization software
    • Demonstrated analysis, communication, interpersonal, report writing and presentation skills. Proactive, creative, systematic thinker and problem-solver.
    • Must have an AMRO (K) certification.

    Registered Nurse III (KRCHN)

    Position summary

    The Nursing officer will work under the overall supervision of the Health facility in-charge or CCC in-charge (where applicable) at the Sub County level with dotted line to TUKICHEKI care and treatment program. He/she will provide comprehensive HIV and TB prevention and treatments service by ensuring program priority indicator target are met on timely basis.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    Requirement for Appointment

    The overall function of this position is to ensure effective implementation of quality HIV Care and Treatment and TB/HIV services to paediatrics, adolescent, young people, and adults.     Job summary

    Program Officer, HTS & PrEP

    Job Summary

    The overall function of this position is to ensure implementation of high quality, efficient and effective HIV Testing Services in supported health facilities. He/ She is responsible for ensuring efficient eligibility screening process, testing of all eligible persons who provide consent, immediate linkage of all persons who test positive to treatment, linkage of HIV negative individuals to appropriate prevention services and screening of persons seeking HIV services for TB, Intimate Partner Violence, risks for HIV acquisition, Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision).     • Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week in recognized training Institution

    Program Accountant

    Job summary

    The program accountant will support the implementation of the CDC Funded Migori CHMT TUKICHEKI Program; He/ She will be responsible for the day-to-day finance operations such (petty cash, carrying out banking activities, processing tax exemptions for assets based on USG/CDC requirements and preparation of reports) of the program as well as working closely, with the Business official and programs team. In addition, the incumbent will be involved in financial planning as the focal point for budget costing and allocation of expenses.     Job Description

    • Establish and maintain sound and transparent accounting and fiscal control procedures for financial management that are in compliance with Migori county government, Government of Kenya (GOK) and US CDC procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Support the project’s budgeting system at all stages from program design, planning implementation and monitoring.
    • Develop activity budgets for planned activities and monitoring of expenditure against the budget.

    Required qualification

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration
    • CPA Part K and registered Member of ICPAK
    • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
    • Experience in project accounting and auditing in a donor-funded development projects is required.
    • Good knowledge of and experience with county government and USG rules and regulations is an added advantage
    • Strong computer skills in accounting software, Microsoft office application including Word, Excel, Power Point
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to efficiently take up multiple tasks under
    • pressure and tight deadlines.
    • Must be a self-motivated, diligent, and reliable person who can work with minimal supervision.

    Program Manager

    Job Summary

    The Program Manager will provide overall and technical leadership, programmatic oversight, and coordination for the program. S/he will lead technical strategy, supervise, and mentor program officers, oversee the design, planning, and implementation of all aspects of supported program activities in alignment with donor and country policies and procedures as well as guide inputs needed to ensure fidelity/quality and effectiveness of program, including, but not limited to development of conceptual framework, leadership and evaluation of project effectiveness and performance as well as quality improvement processes. S/he will also provide oversight for the HIV treatment and prevention services as funded by PEPFAR and allocation of program resources as per approved work plan. She/he will collaborate closely with County AIDS and STI Coordinator (CASCO), County Health Management Team (CHMT) and other relevant stakeholders to implement effective and efficient HIV interventions.]

    Roles and responsibilities

    • Provide oversight to the Migori CHMT-TUKICHEKI technical team and coordinate the implementation of program work plans and strategies towards desired targets
    • Coordinate the work planning, design, planning and implementation of supported HIV and TB activities aligned to program objectives as well as CDC’s and county government of Migori’s rules and regulations
    • Provide technical leadership, strategic direction, and prioritization to ensure integrity and to achieve project goals, objectives and targets
    • Participate in planning and implementation of supported HIV and TB activities in collaboration with county and sub-County health management teams as well as other relevant stakeholders
    • Ensure program fidelity through continuous monitoring of program achievements aligned to program resources outlay and work with program implementation teams to re-allocate program resources as appropriate
    • Provide technical assistance in capacity building to strengthen capacity of program staff and facility staff trough mentorship and coaching in collaboration with CDC, County Health Management Teams (CHMTs) and Sub County Health Management Teams (SCHMTs) in provision of high-quality HIV
    • and TB services towards achievement of program objectives and HIV epidemic control.
    • Supervise program technical staff to ensure that program deliverables are achieved
    • Provide leadership in designing, implementation, monitoring, documentation and dissemination of Continuous Quality Improvement projects
    • Monitor and ensure that the program meets the milestones and targets set by the donor in accordance with the program work plan, while ensuring that the funded activities are implemented in close coordination with the donor and county governments, and that they are aligned with Ministry of Health standards, protocols, guidelines and policies
    • Stay abreast of latest technical developments in the field of HIV and TB and support the CHMTs as well as SCHMTs to apply cutting edge strategies to the HIV and TB programming.
    • Oversee the development of all regular and ad hoc care program technical reports, as well as other deliverables
    • Use data driven approach to problem solve, strategize and focus interventions, and ensure that project performs according to the donor’s agreement.
    • Routinely inform Principal Investigator, county governments and other key stakeholders of program successes, outcomes, lessons learned, and challenges
    • Represent the program in activities with external stakeholders as needed and guided by the Principal Investigator
    • Any other program tasks and duties as may be assigned by the Principal Investigator

    Required qualifications

    • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MbChB)
    • Masters in medical related-field, Public Health, Epidemiology, or health related field is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in implementing HIV programs
    • Strong knowledge and familiarity with cutting-edge HIV programmatic strategies and clinical expertise as well as the Ministry of Health treatment HIV treatment and prevention guidelines.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a high-volume workflow, adhere to timelines, as well as to lead and work collaboratively with others.
    • Must be able to develop and maintain sound professional relationships among project staff, partners, host government and other stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with Kenya public sector health system
    • Must have the ability to articulate and disseminate information via multiple channels with clear communication in English.
    • Demonstrate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with demonstrable good written and verbal skills
