    People & Culture Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities

    • TaRL Africa’s Culture: Support the growth and development of TaRL Africa’s culture through initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
    • HR Strategy: Execute HR strategies to improve the overall employee experience, from recruitment to retirement.
    • Policies & Processes: Assist in developing policies to enhance organizational efficiency and talent management.
    • Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment life cycle, from job postings to onboarding, ensuring best practices are followed.
    • Staff Compliance: Ensure adherence to HR policies and processes, keeping them updated in line with legal and organizational best practices.
    • Staff Engagement: Develop strategies to boost employee engagement through team-building activities, feedback sessions, and events.
    • Reporting: Provide regular data-driven reports and continuously analyze HR processes for operational excellence.
    • Staff Training: Develop and manage learning and development programs, ensuring alignment with team and organizational goals.
    • Career Progression: Support employees in career mapping in collaboration with line managers.
    • Performance Management: Lead the performance management process, including goal setting and performance evaluations.
    • Line Management: Provide guidance and support to direct reports, motivating them and solving challenges collaboratively.
    • Rewards & Compensation: Assist in developing systematic rewards and compensation systems.
    • Continuous Improvement: Regularly update HR manuals and playbooks to reflect current standards and policies.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    • Timely updates of the HR playbook and reporting.
    • Compliance with statutory deductions and salary payments.
    • Effective completion of recruitment within set timelines.
    • Employee engagement and feedback utilization.
    • Completion of L&D programs and career progression support.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
    • 5+ years of HR experience at a managerial level.
    • HR certification (e.g., CHRP-K or equivalent) is required.
    • Proficient in HR systems, program design, and employee engagement.
    • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Proven experience in an equivalent role.
    • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).
    • Understanding of labor laws across various countries.
    • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus.
    • Outstanding organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong ethics, reliability, and decision-making aptitude.
