    Records Management Officer I – VDS 6

    Reporting to the Chief ICT Officer, the ICT Officer (I) will be responsible in carrying out the following duties: -

    1. Conducting server builds.
    2. Monitoring operating system software and servers.
    3. Participating in the implementation of the computer systems.
    4. Performing technical, systems and user documentation tasks.
    5. Maintaining of Information Communication Technology equipment and associated Peripherals.
    6. Maintaining data protection system and installing and supporting servers.
    7. Work with other ICT officers, interns, casuals or third-party vendors to design algorithms and process flowcharts as per the set user/functional requirements.
    8. Produce clean and efficient code base on user/functional requirements and Specifications.
    9. Integrate software components and third-party programs.
    10. Perform code reviews, verification and deployment of programs.
    11. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software systems.
    12. Gather, evaluate and translate user feedback into software specifications.
    13. Recommend and execute improvements.
    14. Create technical, systems and user documentation for reference and reporting.
    15. Performing system/data recovery.
    16. Incident reporting and management.
    17. Performing software and database upgrades, patches and security updates.
    18. User support and training based on the VDS ICT policy and maintaining of support Systems and
    19. Provide overall administration of the network, software and hardware infrastructure.

    Job Specifications
    For appointment to this grade, a candidate should possess:-

    1. A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Information Communication Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    2. Must have served as Information Communication Technology Officer II or in a comparable and relevant position in a reputable organization for a minimum period of three (3) years
    3. OR have at least five (5) years relevant working experience in a comparable position in a reputable organization in the public or private sector.
    4. Proven experience as a software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role.
    5. Experience with software design and development
