    Supervisor – Appeals & Grievance

    Job purpose

    This role is responsible for providing guidance and implementing all appeals & grievance management activities.

    Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks

    Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Supervise day to day operations in the unit
    • Supervise, Coach and Mentor Staff

    Operational Responsibilities / Tasks

    • Analysis and review of issues raised in appeals in timely manner.
    • Prepare cautionary letters to staff;
    • Provide and update PSC on staff data, leavers and joiners;
    • Collection of views on evidence tendered.
    • Preparation of position papers on cases.
    • Analysis of grievance reports and give recommendations
    • Ensure that all staff members know what steps to follow and whom to contact in case of a grievance
    • Follow up with each grievance by investigating the event.
    • Preparation of documents for review.
    • Capturing and preparation of minutes of deliberations of the Grievance and appeal Committee
    • Seeking clarification from Departments/ Officers/Investigators on matters raised.
    • Safe custody of documents and reports

    Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills).

          Academic qualifications

    • A degree in Human Resource Management or related field from a recognized institution.

    Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies

    • Diploma in HR/Post graduate Diploma in HR/ Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP)
    • Membership to a Professional Body – IHRM

    Previous relevant work experience required.

    • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar
