Procurement Officer at CABI (Centre for Agriculture and Biosciences International)

Job Summary

• The procurement officer will coordinate all procurement activities at the regional office and support the coordination of administration services. Ensure adherence to standard processes and contribute to the effective procurement of goods and services at the Centre.
• Implement CABI Africa’s procurement policies, regulations and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards, relating to the procurement of goods, services, and works.
• Closely collaborate with project teams to ensure that all procurement needs are managed efficiently while keeping appropriate procurement request timelines.
• Plan and execute supplier pre-qualification for the region, working with the wider procurement team to negotiate for the best quality and pricing of products and services.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in procurement and supply chain management or any other business-related degree
• Certification/Diploma from Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) or equivalent certification. Membership to a reputable professional body; KISM, CIPS.
