    Job summary:

     The Supervisor – tyre department will oversee a team and ensure effective operations within the department. This is a hands on role and requires a strong knowledge of tyres.

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Listens effectively to understand and communicate in a business-like manner to employees all pertinent subject matter.
    • Accurately answers questions both over the phone and at the workshop location.
    • Presents a warm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional image to employees.
    • Directs the department in the diagnosing of the needs through the appropriate products and services. .
    • Verifies that the appropriate services have been completed.

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for an organized transport manager to manage the transport activities by tracking company fleet and supervising drivers. The transport manager – heavy commercial will also ensure that goods are delivered on time and undamaged.

    QSSK-LGE-TH-Tyre Handler

    Job summary:

    • The tyre handler will be required to inspect and assess damaged or worn tires and balance or rotate tires. To ensure success as a tyre handler you should have good communication skills be able to perform physically demanding tasks.

    KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patters, valve quality and overall health.
    • Recommending appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires.

    QSSK-LGE-SLS-Shipping Line Supervisor

    Job Purpose:

    • Oversees daily operations in the shipping department from the time clearance file is opened, ensure all the documents required for local line release are in order then track the manifest, once the manifest is lodged, upload the same to the concerned file, inform the declaration team and commence processing of the local delivery order and ensure online mapping with KPA.

    FUNCTIONS/KEY RESULTS EXPECTED:

    • Ensure every shipment arrives on time and pre-clearance is done within stipulated KPI’s.
    • The shipping line supervisor will read all shipping notices, orders, invoices, and other documents to manage priorities and ensure that the correct shipping methods are used. Also make sure shipping records are accurately stored in the database.
    • Oversees and supervises shipping line clerks and officers to ensure KPI’s are met and timely reporting achieved
    • Act as a liaison between various department in the clearing and forwarding office
    • Maintenance of shipping clerks motorbikes as well as fuel consumption
    • Ensure close rapport with various shipping line managers and teams
    • Manifest amendments to be handled and completed within the shortest time possible
    • Should be able to troubleshoot any areas concerning shipping related issues
    • Close coordination with empty container department with regard to container guarantee and interchange.
    • Maintain records of container deposits issued to various lines and follow for timely reimbursement
    • Ensure reconciliation with shipping lines concerning deposits and charges

    KEY CAPABILITIES AND EDUCATION:

    • A minimum of 7 Years of experience in clearing and forwarding organization with specific experience in shipping related matters
    • Requires Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills along with full command of MS Office (Word, Access, Excel & PowerPoint)

    QSSK-LGE-RC-Rigger Crane

    Job Purpose:

    • The main purpose is to operate the crane before, during and after the lift.

    FUNCTIONS/KEY RESULTS EXPECTED:

    • Inspecting and maintaining crane equipment.
    • Checking ground conditions before setting up the crane.
    • Deciding whether to place steel plates or timber under the crane’s outrigger pads based on ground conditions.
    • Checking instruments in the crane cabin to ensure loads are within safe limits.
    • Following the signals of the team on the ground to ensure correct load placement.

    Job Summary

    • To manage the execution, direction, and coordination of all transportation matters within the organization including organizing loading schedules, route planning and ensuring that vehicles are safe and meet legal requirements, and making sure that drivers are aware of their duties.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Planning routes and load scheduling for cargo from the points of origin to the final destinations
    • Collaborate with the customer to establish the nature of cargo available for haulage and allocate the required type of trucks for loading on priority basis
    • Directing activities related to dispatching, routing, and all-round tracking of transportation trucks
    • Ensure maximum efficient utilization of the company’s fleet of trucks to the best interest of the business
    • Planning, organizing, managing and supervising subordinate staff members within Operations department to ensure work is coordinated, executed, accomplished and consistent with the required standards
    • Prepare budget estimates for Operations department and control the expenditure related to the department in line with the approved budget

    • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a transportation/logistics company in a supervisory/management role

    QSSK-LGE-HM-Head Mechanic

    Job Summary

    • Oversee Maintenance of all factory mechanical machines, equipment, and other installations through preventive maintenance programs according to laid down schedules, specifications and following established procedures

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Receives Job Card from the Workshop Supervisor and start work allocated.
    • Check and compare the Job Card details that have been recorded.
    • Records the starts and end time on each assignment.
    • Reports any observations (problems) not included in the Job Card.
    • Returns all unused spare parts removed from the vehicles and ensures that old parts are delivered to the stores.
    • Informs Workshop Supervisor on completion of assigned tasks in the Job Card and handover the key.
    • Reports beforehand any reasons for delay of assigned tasks.
    • Place orders for new requirements and replacement parts with the workshop admin or stores manager
    • Ensures that allocated working bay is always clean.
    • Keeps all vehicles that may have delayed in repairs off the Working Bay.
    • Keeps good custody of all assigned tools.
    • Always ensure safety precautions at the workshop.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Diploma in Auto Engineering or related field; ICT Literate.
    •  Five (5) years’ experience as Senior Mechanic; Extensive knowledge of truck/trailer mechanics.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills; Result oriented with analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Should be of high integrity and professional, Strong computer skills.
    • Must be a team player
    • Diagnostic mind-set
