    Technology for Development (T4D) Intern

    The T4D Intern is part of Save the Children's East and Southern Africa Regional Office. The T4D intern will provide support to the Regional Technical Project Manager - Digital.

    In order to be successful, you will bring/have:

    Essential/Desired

    • Recently completed or studying for an Undergraduate Degree in ICT related courses eg, BSC Computer Science, BTech, BBIT, Information Science etc.
    • Excellent computer skills especially in MS Excel spread sheets and MS Word, and ideally experience with analytical Software tools especially Power BI, Open Data Kit, Linux (and Open Source Software), Microsoft Azure etc.
    • High level of integrity and ability to work as part of a professional team
    • Cross-cultural experience, understanding and sensitivity, and foster positive and collaborative working relationships;
    • Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills;

    Resource Mobilization & Business Development Intern

    The NBD Intern will part of Save the Children's East and Southern Africa Regional Office. He/ She will provide resource mobilization and NBD support to the Regional Resource Mobilization (RRM) team that comprised of the Regional Head of Resource Mobilization, the Senior Regional Business Development Manager, Senior Programme Development Manager for Southern Africa region and the Corporate and Philanthropic Partnerships Manager.

    In order to be successful, you will bring/have:

    Essential/Desired

    • Recently completed degree or studying for a degree course in business management, project management, international relations, international development, or related field who wishes to gain some practical experience.
    • Demonstrates some form of international development or fundraising BD experience in an NGO/ INGO sector highly desired.
    • A high degree of attention to detail and the ability to lead key tasks to on-time completion under significant pressure and with minimal supervision.
    • Strong analytical and information management skills;
    • Excellent computer skills especially in MS Excel spread sheets, PDF and MS Word required
    • High level of integrity and ability to work as part of a professional team
    • Excellent communication, process and time management skills.
    • Proven ability to handle challenging work load
    • Cross-cultural experience, understanding and sensitivity;
    • Strong/ Excellent interpersonal, networking written and oral communication and re/presentation skills;
    • English fluency (written and verbal) required

    Regional Learning & Development Intern

    The Learning and Knowledge function is part of the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Unit under the Program Development and Quality department at the Regional Office. The Regional Office supports country programs to embed MEAL systems so as to drive program quality improvement, generate evidence of the impact of our work and foster learning.

    This is an exciting opportunity for young dynamic upcoming professional seeking to obtain on the job experience in Learning and Knowledge Management while working with a motivated multinational team. It requires a dedicated and highly motivated individual who is willing to learn at the same time offer creative ideas to achieving the goals of Learning and Knowledge Management.

    In order to be successful, you will bring/have:

    Essential/Desired

    • University Degree in any field of Social Development
    • Prior training in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning and Knowledge Management
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively in networks and communities of practice
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point)
