    Import & Export Associate

    Position Overview:

    We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import and Export Associate to join our Legal team. The Supply Chain Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products through our supply chain network. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage inventory, and optimize procurement processes to support our company's growth and expansion.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor inventory levels under bond and share reports with our customs officers on a monthly basis.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accuracy
    • Assist in the procurement process by sharing Hs code details and tax estimates for importing various parts.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships and provide required certifications for smooth imports and exports.
    • Coordinate with logistics partners to arrange transportation and shipment of materials and products.
    • Track shipments and manage delivery schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize delays through regular communication with our clearing agents.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the supply chain.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and streamline workflows.
    • Follow up with government agencies such as Kebs and Ntsa for approval and processing of any required documents.
    • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and anticipate potential issues.
    • Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to supply chain operations.
    • Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, quality, and logistics.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
    • ICMS Certification holder from KESRA or equivalent qualification.
    • 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, preferably in the automotive or electric mobility industry.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
    • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, inventory management principles, and logistics operations.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.

    Head of Supply Chain

    Position responsibilities

    The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing Leading, developing, and executing the strategic vision for the end-to-end supply chain operations encompassing procurement, material planning, logistics, and distribution.

    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers from China, India, and other locations to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials and components.
    • Work cross-functionally with production, sales, and finance teams to drive integrated business planning and forecast accuracy.
    • Implement robust performance management systems and metrics to track supplier performance, delivery accuracy, inventory levels, and cost efficiencies.
    • Create risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
    • Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and standards.
    • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to optimize cost, delivery, and quality.
    • Lead a team of supply chain professionals and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain and foster a culture of lean, process improvement, and operational excellence.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is highly preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the manufacturing industry. Experience in the electric vehicle industry is a plus.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience dealing with suppliers in China and India.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing supply chain strategies that have contributed to the company's bottom line.
    • Excellent understanding of supply chain processes, lean methodologies, and ERP systems.
    • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to operate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to develop teams and drive performance.
    • Ability to travel internationally as required.
