    Construction Site Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Management: Develop comprehensive plans and schedules to optimize resource utilization, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Cost, Schedule, and Scope Control: Monitor and manage construction schedules, costs, and scope changes to ensure projects stay within approved parameters.
    • Labor, Machinery, and Resource Management: Supervise direct labor, oversee machinery, and manage resources effectively across construction sites.
    • Contract Administration and Coordination: Administer construction contracts, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
    • Permitting, Compliance, and Environmental Management: Obtain and maintain permits, ensure regulatory compliance, and address environmental and community issues.
    • Reporting, Forecasting, and Inventory Management: Provide regular progress reports, manage project costs and budgets, and oversee inventory and equipment availability.
    • Collaboration and Quality Assurance: Collaborate closely with project team members, implement quality assurance controls, and ensure safety standards are met.

    Qualifications

    • Relevant bachelor’s degree in construction, a masters will be an added advantage.
    • Must have 5+ years of experience in Real Estate Project or Construction Management.
    • Must have demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects and multiple sites effectively.
    • Must have experience working with contractors and architects through design and construction phases.
    • Demonstrated experience tracking records of managing projects within budget and schedule constraints.
    • Must strong financial analysis skills for real estate projects and Clear verbal and written communication skills.

    All-Purpose Handyman (Fundi)

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
    • Conduct routine inspections of company vehicles to identify and address any mechanical issues promptly.
    • Handle carpentry tasks such as repairing furniture, installing fixtures, and constructing structures as needed.
    • Address plumbing issues, including repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing new plumbing fixtures.
    • Perform masonry work, such as repairing walls, laying bricks, and patching concrete surfaces.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workshop and storage area for tools and equipment.
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management and staff, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a handyman, with expertise in basic vehicle maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry.
    • Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems and equipment.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
    • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor and work in various environmental conditions.
    • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (if required for vehicle maintenance tasks).

    Deputy Executive Director Operations

    Key Responsibilities

    • Represent the Executive Director (ED) in meetings or other functions as assigned by the ED.
    • Oversee and coordinate the conservation programmes across all ecosystems including the day-to-day operations of these programmes
    • Spearhead the development and implementation of new conservation programmes and activities towards achieving a five-year strategic plan
    • Identify new implementation partners to co-implement the new conservation programmes and activities
    • Engage with all relevant local government and local communities around the projects to ensure they are bought into the programmes in their vicinities and to ensure their support
    • Assist the Fundraising & PR Manager with providing information on project implementation progress for the submission of reports to donors
    • Provide support to the organization during Charity events
    • Provide feedback and engage with the Fundraising Manager on opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation
    • Where required, make public talks and presentations to raise the profile of the mountain forests, other threatened habitats and their wildlife

    Qualifications

    • Hold a minimum qualification of Masters in environmental science or business administration or equivalent from a recognized university
    • Proven track record in general management and administrative skills, with broad knowledge of budget planning/implementation and accounting procedures
    • Proven and demonstrable track record running large scale projects preferably in Kenya and related to conservation
    • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization and across all functions of the Kenya government, the donor fraternity, global conservation bodies and communities living adjacent to forest ecosystems
    • Experience in conservation is an added advantage
    • Excellent negotiation skills with capacity to engage with the Government, the private sector, and regional and international organizations
    • Self-driven, innovative, dynamic and capable of working under pressure with minimum supervision

    Deputy Executive Director Fundraising & PR

    Key Responsibilities

    • Represent the Executive Director (ED) in meetings or other functions as assigned by the ED
    • Develop and implement the fundraising Strategic Plan and coordinate fundraising activities
    • Coordinate fundraising activities towards achieving the fundraise targets set out in five-year Strategic Plan
    • Coordinate the fundraising activities of the USA office and the UK office
    • Establish endowment funds for the maintenance of the conservation projects
    • Establish payments for ecosystem service schemes to secure long-term financing for the conservation of Kenya’s mountain forests,
    • Engage with the Government of Kenya and the private sector towards securing their in-kind or financial support towards projects, including the endowment funds
    • Coordinate support and provide administrative support to the organization for charity events
    • Be responsible for public relations, media, marketing and promotion activities including website, social media, engagement with media houses, communications to stakeholders including newsletters and e-shots, as well as events
    • Strengthen and supervise all the work of the Public Relations Office and any team members in this office
    • Engage with any external PR and Marketing Partners both in Kenya and overseas
    • Keep under review the public perception of and identify opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation
    • Raise the profile of the mountain forests, other threatened habitats and their wildlife

    Qualifications

    • At least 5-year experience in fundraising with a track record of success
    • Hold a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.  A qualification in Environmental Sciences maybe an advantage
    • Proven track record in managing people, administrative skills, budget planning and implementation together with some knowledge of accounting procedures
    • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization and across all functions of the Kenya government, the donor fraternity, global conservation bodies and communities living adjacent to forest ecosystems
    • Good negotiation skills and ability to present issues in a clear, concise manner
    • Experience in conservation is a significant added advantage
    • Self-driven, innovative, dynamic and capable of working under pressure with minimum supervision
